The guest speaker was Bill Moore, Editor of EV World. Mr. Moore presented an outline of the New Energy Trends Conference, which included a comprehensive overview of the 2005 Energy Policy Act, including projections for energy technology and demands to 2020. The featured speaker for this conference was Jim Woolsey, former Director of the CIA and currently Senior V.P. Booz Allen Hamilton.

This conference was particularly important to the midwest because we import most of our energy. According to the Nebraska Energy Department, the state imports 99% of its energy - that is a tremondous imbalance of trade - exporting hundreds of millions of dollars for energy supplies.
