The guest speaker for this meeting was Cathy Hanus, J.D., who presented Identity Theft: Risk and Responsibilities.

Cathy Hanus earned her Juris Doctorate (1998) and Masters of Science in E-Commerce (2001) from Creighton University. She works with her husband Michael providing IT consulting services across the globe through the Internet and locally. They specialize in working with networking, wired and wireless, satellite, security and privacy issues.

Identity theft is a concern for everyone. The purpose of this presentation is to explore our risks, responsibilities and how we can work together to protect ourselves and society. Beginning March 1, people in our region will be able to get one free credit report a year - www.annualcreditreport.com.
