Topic: The Internet and the Coming Consumer Boom

The guest speaker for the meeting was Gene Paché, President and CEO of two internet companies, Grads, Inc. and Oncology Care International. The business plan for Grads, Inc. has advanced the Internet business models into areas of that are the next generation of e-business - beyond the advertising model that has largely failed. These new models do not sell information about individuals, but provide aggregate data about behavior patterns on gender and age. The Grads, Inc. web site has 5 different school portals that currently serves over 100 schools. This presentation will be a very exciting overview of leading concepts in revenue generation for business models and their web sites.

Mr. Paché's presentation was titled The Internet and the Coming Consumer Boom. The United States is positioned for the largest consumer boom in its history. The Internet will be a major part of the consumer boom. This presentation will address the consumer boom, the Internet, and businesses that will impact consumer spending.
