VENTURE CAPITAL FORUM ACT (LB225): Stuart Miller with the Department of Economic Development with the State of Nebraska (email: smiller@neded.org) sent a copy of the Statement of Intent, the Bill and the RFP for LB225 to the ITC and ITVenture. The Venture Capital Forum Act was passed and funding was appropriated starting January 2001. The Department of Economic Development has issued an RFP for interested parties to review and participate. ITV NEWSNOTE - APRIL 30, 2001
The ITVenture meeting at InfoTec 2001 was well attended with over 70 people in
the audience to hear the keynote speaker, Steve Idelman, and three firms
discuss their business plans. Mr. Idelman, accompanied by his wife,
Sherri, presented a compelling picture of what he looks for in an
investment opportunity. He looks for not only a great business
opportunity, but "fire in the eyes" of the leadership, 24x7
determination, and a strong sense of business ethics within the business

ITV NEWSNOTE - APRIL 2, 2001
The first ITVenture meeting on March 14 was a great success! There were
over 50 people in attendance. The three presenting companies, TRI,
CapaciTeam and ethosCRM were all pleased with the turnout and there
responses from the audience.
ITVenture will host a forum at the Infotec Conference on Wednesday,
April 25, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Steve Idelman discussing
his role as an Angel Investor, a panel representing perspectives on
local investing and entreprenuers and several firms presenting their
business plans. The Forum will conclude with a general Q and A by the
audience and a networking session with the infotec vendor's party.
The Omaha Entrepreneurs has now merged their organization, headed by
Bill Allan, with the Midlands Venture Forum (MVF) directed by Rick
Buchanan. The first dinner meeting of the MVF will be this coming
Thursday, March 29 at the Marriott Regency. There will be three IT
based companies presenting their business plans. The meeting will start
with networking at 5:30 PM and dinner at 6:00 PM. Please register at;
